CLHS Band Buzz Sept. 23-28

​Dear Band and Color Guard,
 
Winds and percussion rehearse Monday; Color Guard, Tuesday; and full band, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-5:30PM. On Friday, we have an away game at Dickinson’s Sam Vitanza Stadium, and Saturday is the first contest as well at the mattress fundraiser.
 
The band will wear FULL UNFORMS for the football game this week. Students need to wear the new shorts under the bibbers, so the parts of the uniform are the same as the heat uniform except for LONG black socks. Shako and gauntlet checkout will take place this week during class.

GAME DAY CHECKLIST
This week, the band will begin wearing the formal marching uniform, so all the items on the list should be brought to school FRIDAY MORNING in the black band duffel.
 
Formal Marching Uniform
 

• Red Game Shirt
• Black marching shoes
• Blue uniform shorts (to go under the bibbers)
• CALF-LENGTH BLACK socks
• Pair of Gauntlets
• Shako (hat in case)
• Lyre
• Garment Bag w/Uniform (jacket and bibbers) to be checked out before parade/game and returned after
• Flip folder
• Instrument (mouthpiece and accessories)
• Red game water jug
• Rain poncho
• Blue jeans (kept in bag in case of rain)
