Audition packets and details will be released in mid-Spring. A typical audition will include two short etudes, two full-range major scales, and a full-range chromatic scale. Directors may choose to listen to whole etudes or shorter cuts, and the key of major scales is to be chosen by a director at the time of the audition. 8-11th graders are typically given a 3-week time frame in which to learn the material before an audition is held or scheduled.
Audition information will be posted on this page as it is made available, as well as paper copies sent to each intermediate school.
Auditions are never meant to be scary, intimidating, or to make you nervous. This is simply the director's way to determine which class will fit your skill-level best! We want to ensure that you have the best musical experience possible.
